Eduss is Standards Based for all
50 US states. We use the No Child Left
Behind Standards as the "default" standards
within the system, but all of
the other standards and methodologies for teaching are
included in the
system as well. Since the system interacts with each student
at their grade
level by utilizing our 3-D evaluation engine, each student,
upon completion
of an assessment, knows not only what they do and don't
know, but the system
will tell them WHEN they missed the concept AND set an
automatic TUTORIAL to
teach them back to grade level. The Eduss IMTA does this
by first
"watching" the student and when an error occurs,
it determines if the error
was due to poor keyboarding skills. Next, it will determine
whether or not
the student understood the question in the way it was
asked: For instance,
if the system asked a horizontal addition question, it
would try a vertical
addition problem and/or a simple word problem. Lastly,
when the system
determines that the student doesn't know the concept,
let's say it is
multiplying fractions, the system will take the student
up the "tree-root"
of all the material that the student must know to be successful
in
multiplying fractions until it finds a spot where the
student does know the
material. At that point, the Eduss IMTA sets a tutorial
for that concept
and moves on until the student completes the entire assessment.
Since the
EDUSS IMTA includes all grades, the system can move forward
and backwards
through all materials to "set" the tutorials.
The teacher can, at this
point, review the automated tutorial and add additional
material for each
student in the appropriate areas that he/she determines
would be best for
that particular student.
Since Eduss' IMTA systems are standards based and research
tested, AND we
include all methodologies (or will add them as they
become known to us), our
system is designed to "map" directly to the
teaching plan of each teacher.
Our system is designed as a "Teaching Assistant"
and NOT a
teacher/curriculum replacement tool. We believe that
the teacher's
pedagogic skills are THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect of classroom
learning. Our
systems aid both the teacher and the student and help
the teacher get on the
successful side of their students' educational experience.
Each student is given a full assessment at the beginning
of the evaluation.
As the student completes the assessment, an Automated
Tutorial is
established for each student. As the student works through
the Automated
Tutorial, the teacher/parent/school can view progress
by asking the system
for a "Progress Report." The Progress Report
shows, in detail, each topic
and subtopic that the student has worked through and
what they've achieved,
how long they spent doing it and when they did the work.
We recommend that
upon the completion of the installation and training
of all teachers, which
is at no cost to the school, a FULL ASSESSMENT of the
entire student body be
completed. This assessment will be the "Benchmark"
for the "start" of the
tracking of progress. From this point, the system's
Reporting Module takes
over and Progress Reports from the Automated Tutorial
are available on each
student and a copy of each student's Assessment Report
can be made available
to any authorized entity. In addition, as the students
continue working on
the systems, the systems WILL NOT allow them to "miss"
or "skip" any
concepts. For instance, if the school experiences a
"Flu epidemic", the
teaching schedule usually doesn't just stop. So, some
students may not,
under current conditions, get all of the understanding
that they will need
on some topics. The Eduss system will detect this missing
knowledge and set
a tutorial to teach the student what they don't understand.
The biggest
problem with students who are failing today is not whether
the teacher knows
it..they do! The problem for the teacher is one of TIME.
They don't have
the time to go back into each student's background and
find where they
missed the "key" concepts that are causing
them to fail in their class
today...AND, it usually takes about two years for these
missing concepts to
manifest themselves into a "failure" situation.
Eduss gives the teacher
this missing information, sets the needed tutorial,
gives the teacher the
option to add additional material to the tutorial, and
allows the teacher to
control 100% of what is happening in his/her classroom.
We also have
teacher testimonials from around the world that we can
provide if needed.
Parents may be entered into our systems if they have
an email account. If
they have an email account, the teacher/school can email
reports directly to
the parents and show them daily progress if they'd like
to see it.
Otherwise, reports can be printed and printed as frequently
as required.
Also, these reports are available and can be used to
report up to "School",
"District" and "State" levels if
desired by the entity requiring the report.
Since our systems are standards-based and research tested
AND approved by
the CLRN organization, we deliver the best content,
the most robust software
engine, and the cost to deploy is minimal SO that we
can reach all students,
regardless of economic environment.
